Burned Armature on DC Motor

Just for the sake of conversation, check this out!!! This armature is beyond burned, it's actually an exploded motor armature.

Gear Wrench is part of the global economy I guess.

Does anyone have experience on how to program an Omron Zen relay. The Zen relays are programmable relays that are reasonably cheap. The way I see them, they are a bare-bones PLC device with a few inputs and outputs.

Are there limitations on what you can do? Aside from the limited number of IO which is easy to see...

Any de-soldering I have ever done has been accomplished with solder wick. I prefer wider, heavier wick, I think it just works better.

I have never been particular on which brands I use. I always think of cube relays as disposable relays. Since they are so easily swapped I have may brands in the equpment throughout the our plant.

The terms cheap cube relays and disposable relays are the same as far as I'm concerned.

a "remote pot timer design" of my own is where I'm heading, it shouldn't be a big deal but I was just looking for an off-the-shelf replacement. Thanks!

I've also had lots of experience with Allen Bradley products and I agree that they are the most user-friendly PLC's. if there are any out there that are easier than that, I would be interested in hearing about them.

I agree, digital multimeters make life easy. (period!)

Here is a classic timing relay that I'm having trouble replacing. I believe it lasted for about 30 years. They don't make 'em like this anymore...

Been researching remote pot timers... looked for Magnecraft remote pot timers, ATC remote pot timers, Square D, remote pot timers, etc.

NCC makes this here: http://www.alliedelec.com/images/products/datasheets/bm/NCC/70059771.pdf but I don't see an initiate contact. it uses a 8 pin connector so it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

I can't believe there is nothing readily available.

In Search of Remote Pot Timers...

Hello,
I'm in search of a remot pot timer. I have an obsolete timing relay and I'm having a hard time finding a retrofit. I'm actually pretty surprised that I couldn't find a stock replacement. The timer is old. The original is made by Industrial Solid State Controls of York, PA. It is Part number: 1013-1K1B SP29. It is a 120VAC timer with a time delay of .1 to 10 seconds of "on-delay". It has two individual sets of contacts and it has terminals for an "initiate switch".

I was hoping to find a drop-in replacement wiring wise, the mounting doesn't matter.

Any suggestions? I tried googling these to no avail. Thanks!
