If you are familiar with Numatic air valves, maybe you've seen this before. I purchased 3 Numatic 353 valve with 120V coils. When you open the terminal box to make the connections, there are three wires: red, white, and lack. The terminal strip is marked +12 and +14 on the red and black. Any ideas why?

I double checked the part number and it is a 120V coil. Looking for an quick explanation.
Thank you and best regards,

Mechanic,
I know exactly what you mean. I have seen the terminal strip inside the connection box of Numatic air valves marked this way.

Basically I hung an ohmmeter on the wires and determined that the white and black wire were connected to the coil so I just disregarded the printing on the terminal block. Use an ohmmeter to double-check your valve.
