Guys,
What is a line reactor? and why do you need to use them in unison to variable speed drives?

Guys,
What is Auto-Tune and why would you need to auto-tune a drive after entering the appropriate parameters?

Guys,
What is a 4 quadrant drive? Is it similar to a vector drive?

What does Watt Loss mean? Looking for the actual definition from a technician's standpoint. I was told Watt loss needs to be considered when designing a drive/motor system but I'm not sure how critical it is.

What is a Free-Run Stop? It sounds like motor freewheeling. Are there differences between free-run stop and freewheeling?

What is a Braking Resistor? I'm assuming it is added to a motor circuit to help stop a motor.

I know this is an old post but we have quite a few AC Tech drives in our facility and they have been great. They are easy to set up and seem to be a big bang for the buck. Highly recommended!

What is the definition of base frequency? I would like to know the relationship between base frequency and motor drives.
#45
What Does Arrival Frequency Mean? Any takers on this? I saw this in my drive startup manual.

What exactly is ambient temperature pertaining to electronics? I'm assuming it just means the temperature surrounding an electronic component.

Hello people,

What is the difference between a motor megger and an insulation tester?

I am going to purchase and insulation tester for our maintenance shop. I see both terms used loosely and I really don't think there is a difference, but can anyone detail these two items so I make the right buy. Thanks very much for any insight.
