What does "Bus Inhibit" mean?

Hello,
What does Bus Inhibit mean? Can someone provide a basic explanation or definition of bus inhibit and its association with a motor. Thank you!

In general, Bus Inhibit Alarm means the the DC bus has been disabled due to an overvoltage. DC bus overvoltages sometime come from too much inertia which overwhelms the regen circuit. It can also be inhibited thanks to an internal drive fault such as component failure.
