Anyone ever have nagging problems with 1606XL power supplies from Allen Bradley. Not sure if it's my application, or if these are problematic.

Y Voltage configuration is quite common

Think "stationary windings" and "rotating windings". Motor technology can get way more involved.

I agree, I think Low-Peak fuses are just the name assigned to this style, it's not actually a fuse type.

Watt loss is imminent for every device due to the sum of all components combined.

The basic frequency drive diagram reminds me of an electrical one-line diagram.

Yes or no to Free Run Stop? Inertia and stopping time is obviously the most critical aspect here.

The time it takes for an electric motor to come to a stop naturally depends on factors such as the inertia of the load, the motor size, and the operating conditions. In some cases, allowing the motor to stop freely may be acceptable if the stopping time is within safe limits.

Your brake will never fail if you don't use a brake at all. So it is a nice option if it is practical and safe.

Fanuc is a leading manufacturer of industrial robots and CNC systems, and it is consistently innovating and releasing new models to stay at the forefront of technology.

They regularly introduce improvements, enhanced features, and new capabilities in their products. So yes they are not only relevant but awesome. I go out of my way to steer toward Fanuc controls.

Thank you! Had ALARM 400 (OVERLOAD), simple problem and simple solution, turned out to be mechanical bind holding it back. Hint, keep your machines clean!

Scopemeter has the advantage of portability, but a high end oscilloscope might end up being better for bench work. I like scopemeter because of the kind of work that I do.

The internet is your best bet, if you can't find anything than retrofitting is you next best option. Get creative if you have to, just double check all your specs.

I just start googling or binging when this stuff happens to me. They engineer obsolescence into their parts catalog. GE and everybody else does it to make money. These overloads always worked fine. You may have to look at used parts if they're not available from your local rep

Thanks for the IGBT troubleshooting guide, I was able to perform this test with no experience. The IGBT that I thought was bad, actually wasn't so I moved on. Easier than I thought...

Hello,
I am getting a Memory Error on a Baldor SD23H4A30. Does this look like I should be looking to replace the unit or is it worth investing boards?

Anyone have details on the fault messages or alarm messages like this? I'm up in the air about repair or just go with a new drive.

Thanks.
Brian
